1. Send your search query to LOCAL (56225).		2. Receive a text message with your results.

SMS LOCAL (beta) works on all text-message enabled phones and wireless devices, and is currently configured to work with the Cingular, AT&T, Verizon, Nextel, and T-Mobile networks.

Must have tacos NOW!? Just text message tacos to LOCAL (56225). If you know the name of the business, just send that to LOCAL and we'll send you the nearest business listing.

Want additional listings? Simply hit 'reply' to our search results within 15 minutes and we'll send you the next two business listings. Alternatively, reply to a message anytime with a message containing any of the following words: more, next,
or n.

Once you've sent a search to us, all future searches will default to the initial search location if you don't provide us with a new location. For example, a search for tacos in seattle will provide results in Seattle. A subsequent search for bars would automatically default to Seattle. If you need a bar near Central Park, then just search for bars near Central Park to set the new location.

What's a geographic modifier?

Search for businesses nationwide using SMS LOCAL. To search for products, services, or business names outside your phone's default area code, type in your search term, along with a geographic modifier (area code, zip code, city name, or landmark) and send it to SMS LOCAL. Following are some examples:

• Parking near LAX
• Pizza in Chicago
• Starbucks in 10282
